Building a screened porch (24’ wide along house, 14’ deep, mounting TV in the center on the house). Grilling area to the side of this on pavers. I currently have four outdoor speakers over ten years old but still working (a pair of Bose 251 and a pair of Polk Patio 25–sams club special). Not an audiophile, just want good sound for football games and for music while hanging out. Current amp is an old Sherwood with A/B or A+B options for sound.

Should I scrap everything and get a new Sonos amp with speakers? Keep the Bose speakers? New amp? New speakers?

Current idea is to mount Bose speakers inside porch, and have the two Polk speakers facing the yard/grill area. Wireless setup would be ideal, but not sure about sound quality, cost, etc. Any advice?

I don't know how well it would meet your needs, but I absolutely love my Sonos Move. It's the perfect speaker IMO.

Placement. For best performance you should place outdoor speakers facing the house. Two things happen. You aren't trying to fill an infinite space with sound and the house reinforces the sound and you get better bass.

I would get rid of what you have as far as speakers go. It's a mismatched set.

Just FYI. There is a sale on Amazon today with the Polk Atrium 4 for $106 (regular $150, black trim only). And the Polk Atrium 5 is $165 (regular price $299, black trim only).
