The fact that the American people have so much extra money to spend on things like this is music to the ears of the people currently running things in Wash DC. They immediately think "That means taxes aren't high enough!"

I make my wife give me a left-handed old-fashioned a few times a year just so I can see that worthless ring sparkle on my dong.

Paid 10k for my wife's ring about 6-7 years ago and although its beautiful, just can't help feeling like I got fleeced. Looking back I wish I would have gone with something different/cheaper.

I spent $750 on my wife's ring and she spent $200 on mine. We're happy with them and couldn't care less about jewelry.

I spent $11K on one two years ago. Now we are filing.

Such a wise investment on my part.

I got mine a nice sapphire ring since she likes that stone more than diamonds. Rings are for ladies to show off to other ladies. I figured I had to give her a good ring to brag about to her girlfriends since she sure has hell can't brag about her husband.

Yep she’ll just start wearing a silicone one after three years and she’s bored and starts fricking the instructor at the cultfit gym. Or becomes a wine head fricking the gardener and losses it.

I'll be the heavy on this.

Diamonds, jewelry, some designer handbags, etc. are likely appreciating or at least maintaining value. They can be passed down from the woman to her daughters and easily sold later.

By contrast, most of the shite men own won't do that outside of guns, ammo, or watches (so few people have them anymore).

Of all the shite that we buy for our spouses, gold or diamonds isn't really what I have a huge problem with. If you croak and leave her in a financial bind, she can sell that. And unlike phones, tablets, laptops, cars, trucks, boats, and all the other consumer crap that people buy so much of.....they are unlikely to depreciate very much and may appreciate over the years if it's good quality metal or diamonds.

Women are only good for one thing... And I don't mind a home-cooked meal every now and then either.

who is even looking at these rings on womens finger except for some of those OT stalkers.

Me.

My 20 year anniversary is this month, and I’m buying a new stone and setting for my wife. She deserves it.

3 carat, colorless, vvs1 Emerald cut stone in a new platinum setting. Getting it on Friday.

Worth every penny.
