The entire discussion is an exercise in tu quoque. We see both sides attempt to equate, conflate or explain away based on their political position. If you have to envoke the other side's action in a completely different time and place to support your side's actions you have already lost the debate in the eyes of a neutral observer.

Every single person in here has easily said the DC riots were wrong

I honestly have not seen the Democrats in here, nor in the media condemn the summer "peaceful protests"

No one denies the shite that happened at the Capital was wrong.

A lot of people are denying the summer riots were wrong.

There's your difference.
