Let’s talk about what SVG has and hasn’t done since he’s been here:
HASNT DONE:
1)fix our defense- which is remarkable because this was his calling card and the reason he was hired. Nice.
2) developed NAW or Hayes- both have severely regressed
3) used a consistent rotation- absolutely nothing resembling competence
4) made us remotely competitive- we are 6 games under 500 and have a guy putting up better numbers than shaq. Sweet
HAS DONE:
1) Made a political statement once a week
2) Advocated to stop playing the national anthem before games
3) completely wasted a half year of Zion.
To put this in NFL terms- we hired an offensive coordinator, made him HC, and his offense and QB suck. You are basically going to bat for Matt Nagy. Unbelievable

Stan Van is fricking trash. I would rather have stuck with Gentry. Gayle paying two head coaches for the same or worse results

Not only SVG, but I worry about Griffin and Langdon also.
The Jrue and AD trade were great moves. The draft picks has not been impressive due to the hiring of SVG. Hayes seems to be a bust but who knows if he reach his potential. Plus we need to find a veteran guy who would put the young guys into their place. Something like Rondo/Cousins did with AD. Not like Bledsoe who seems to not gaf at all.

I really wish we had Rondo or someone like him right now to mentor this young team. I love having JJ and Adams as veteran presences for our young guys, but we need a CP3, Rondo, Jimmy Butler type that makes everyone give 100% effort, at all times and makes everyone better.

I respect the hell out of Rondo but I want him nowhere near this franchise anymore.
The guy is a legit basketball savant, but he’s a genius to a fault. His mentality of basically not playing defense for three quarters and him personally not showing up at all until the playoffs is the exact opposite of what we need.
I get it makes sense in the world where you are a grizzled 10+ year vet, on a vet squad, or in the twilight of your career, that knows how to coast properly for three quarters and turn it on late in games and then in the playoffs, but those are the opposite habits this team needs right now.
