Any good books on running?

I’ll take any suggestions but I’m more interested in a personal journey rather than tips on form or such. I heard Running With Kenyans was good so I may check that one out. Any others?

Eat and Run by Scott Jurek was a great read. It offers a lot about Veganism and the Ultra Marathon scene but it’s truly a good autobiography by one of the greatest Ultra Runners ever. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Born to Run
It gets hate because it started the minimalist running revolution, but it is a really good read

Pisgah’s list is great. Add in Living with a SEAL. Not run specific but if you like Goggins, you’ll enjoy it.

Caballo Blanco's Last Run
Solid read about one of the key people in Born to Run.
I'm gonna have to read it again now.

I listened to Running With Kenyans audiobook and really liked it. He read Born To Run before his trip to Kenya and writes a lot about it in his book. Just started Born To Run so he hasn’t really gotten into any running stuff yet. Just got into the Copper Canyons.

His coach for that race put out a pretty good instructional book years later called The Cool Impossible. It wasn't as interesting as Born to Run, but it was worth a read and useful.

Read all of those and this one is next on my list. It came out recently.

Sounds interesting. I think I'll give that one a try too.

I will definitely check it out. I’m fascinated with the African runners for some reason.

I just finished Born to Run and loved it. Barefoot Ted is my hero.

"Born to Run" is a great book. There's a lot of advice in it, but I rarely find any really worthwhile. Usually, it's either a checklist or just a bunch of the standard "do a warm-up, bring water, pick up some music."
