It might have been his best shot at winning, as it would have sent everyone into such a tailspin that they wouldn't be able to focus on anything else.

I actually do too and I didn't even really mean to do it here in a literal sense.
I would have just loved to see the tailspin that would have occurred in dumping all of his returns. Hell, I even spitballed the idea at the time.

No the media is going to misinterpret them anyway. Average American has no idea how their own taxes work. There is a difference between your tax liability for the year and what you have to pay at the year end.
Also, tax law changes so what is in effect now may not have been in previous year and all your going to hear about is how what he did is illegal or not proper accounting.
