I don’t know why, but I feel like they’re going to see this one through and take him down.
I have absolutely no real reason to think the FBI would do this given their history, but I think they will and it’s because of the reason you stated. Their actual target is someone on the right and taking down Cuomo gives them credibility and a talking point for the leftist goons.

Cuomo will serve time in prison for this. It certainly helps that Biden hates his guts which means the politicization of the FBI/DOJ will in full force and effect here.

The only reason they are doing this is that actual voters and actual democrats (small d deliberate) are pissed off.
They can’t clear him of wrongdoing without an “investigation.” So the Democrats have to look like they are doing something. They’re just giving themselves time to find a way to blame Trump.
I still can’t believe that fricker wrote a book, took a victory lap and made that stupid propaganda poster. His term will end before the “investigation” he won’t run again and he’ll become a political commentator or some dumb shite like Andy McCabe and other former government officials who were criminally bad at their jobs.
PS - they also have to let him off, otherwise they’ll have to admit that he could have used the Javitz(sp) center and the hospital boat that Trump provided a s admit that Trump took steps to fight Covid. Which would be a horror for Chairman Biden and Democrats in general

I totally forgot about the help Trump tried to provide, but I don’t think they’re above continuing to completely ignore that for the sake of protecting the party. They’ve shown a willingness in the past to lie at all costs to protect a narrative. If taking down Cuomo leads to the next faux scandal they can push to protect Biden/Kamala while distracting their useful idiots, they’ll do it.

Good. Cuomo needs to be impeached, prosecuted, and put into prison. There was absolutely no excuse for what he did. The U.S. Navy had a giant hospital ship sitting in New York harbor waiting to take overflow patients. For whatever reason it was never utilized. The tinfoil hat within me thinks it was because Cuomo didn't want to give Trump a W, which means thousands of people died to make it easier for a Democrat to win back the White House.
