How are y'all in Louisiana?

Monday was a rotten day for me. I have a project starting in Los Angeles, CA and had to fly from Atlanta to the Left Coast Monday. Connecting flight from Chicago (MDW) was cancelled, so had to adjust and catch a Southwest flight that went from Chicago to LAX via Minneapolis, Denver, and finally LAX.
Yup, it was all caused by this crazy weather that has driven Dixie down. (Did y'all see that there was sleet, ice, freezing rain, and sneaux even as far south as Brownsville, TX??? This is NUTS!)
These days I live near Atlanta and we get a little bit of snow every couple of years. But, SHEESH! Looks like y'all got abused! It only snowed in Baton Rouge once during my years as an undergrad there (Feb. 1988).
I haven't lived in Louisiana since I was a student at LSU, but my heart is always and will always be there. I'm worried about y'all.
Let me know how things are going for y'all, and post some pics if you've got 'em. Also, enjoy the snow while you can since it's a rare event, but don't go bat-shiznette crazy in it!
In the meantime, I'll try to adjust to two weeks of working in LA and San Diego. Weather here is nice, but the folks are NUTS!
Looking forward to hearing good things about how y'all are making the most of it on a Mardi Gras weekend despite the insane weather.

Hammond got lucky. We missed most of the precip and power stayed on. Gonna be back to normal by 2:00pm.
Thank The Lord.

It's cold but Southcoast is pumping gas, LPWD #1 is pumping water and Entergy is pumping that electric. We'll be alright. Hopefully it kills some lillies around here.

All good here Podnah!
Still have power and runnning water.
Kids are eating like Ethiopians on a McDonalds binder, but other than that, all is well!

You brag about getting to be in CA for two weeks as a good thing. Lol. San Diego is great but not in Feb

No offense, but reading this was so fricking cringe. You write like a teenage girl and it’s fricking weird.

Lost power yesterday around 6am. Apparently isn't coming back till tomorrow night. Still have gas so I can run the fireplace a bit and I can cook. Didn't turn into a popsicle last night even though it was in the teens. Don't need electricity to drink, though. In fact all my freezer stuff is outside in a bucket and my fridge stuff is outside in a chest. Joyeux Mardi Gras.
