Ohio St. is an NFL Team - not LSU

From Stewart Mandell CNNSI.com CFB Power Rankings:
In all, TFY considers 16 junior or senior Buckeyes worthy of being drafted (though one of them is Michigan transfer Justin Boren, who won't play this season). Pauline hasn't posted every team's report yet, but says Ohio State's is, "hands down," the most talent-stocked roster.
"You could basically set up shop in Columbus and [draft] a really good team," said Pauline. "USC probably has more impact players on defense, but when you're comparing the two programs, the Trojans fall short of overall elite talent. There's a lot of talent on LSU's roster but not the large number of elite players as Ohio State's."
It sounds like they are saying Tosu would whip LSU head to head this year and will cruise to the MNC game. Interesting rematch?
Is Tosu this year's "Greatest of All-Time?" As the season goes on, the pundits will heap more and more praise on this team as they whip up on Indiana.

Weird, I didn't know we played Indiana this year.

Let's hope they are as good as advertised. I want them to beat the crap out of SC.

Yea, Ohio St. is the most talented by far. And Boy George isn't queer. I like Mandel, but this is a bit of a stretch.

OSU is not an NFL team
OSU is, like most leading college programs, a good place to find NFL *prospects*. The program deserves respect for that. But this is not an NFL team. LSU isn't either, no college team is.
It would be, tOSU is without doubt a fine program. But if you want to talk about pro talent, really, the W/L record of either team isn't terribly relevant.

Beyond Laurinitis and Jenkins, who exactly on Ohio State's team is an "elite" draft pick coming out this year?
I mean, we have Byrd, Jackson, Pittman, Beckwith, and Big Herm.

Boone is a 1st round lock barring injury. Freeman will likely fall into late 1st round early 2nd. Many sources have said Lawrence Wilson (broken leg against YSU last year) is looking better than Gholston. Depending on his season, Robiskie could easily secure a first round pick.

Not to mention if Beanie Wells comes out early, even though during the offseason he said he's coming back for his senior season.

Robizkie will not be a first round pick. try again.

I like how you preemptively invent a complaint before one actually appears.

I'll give you that one, although I haven't been impressed with him. Isn't he the big tackle who has gotten burned by fast SEC DEs in the last two NCGs? Specifically, wasn't he last seen getting burned by the guys on LSU's list of draftees?

Another one I'll give you.

I mean come on, don't bring up players that didn't even start last year. The premise is "elite" picks coming out this year.

Now you are reaching. Robiskie is too slow.
