I’m in the market for new irons and want to get fitted. Which of those places would you recommend? Or is there somewhere else within 4 hours of BR that is better? I don’t want to buy the irons from wherever I get fitted, but will pay whatever the fitting charge is.
Current info if it helps with recommendations
— 0ish handicap
— currently play Callaway Apex pro irons...which I like but not sure the shafts are what is right.
— open to any club brands and/or shafts

Bebu has every shaft and brand you’d want to hit. Never been to club champion but can’t imagine them being better than him. No pressure to buy the clubs from him after the fitting.

Bebu managed a club champion up north, he has more options than club champion in Metarie. I am sure some will chime in with more options within 4 hours of BR but as far as choosing between Bebu and the CC in Metarie I’d go see Bebu every time.

It’s budda and it’s not even a debate. The shafts i required club champion didn’t even carry. The only issue would be the wait list for Budda. I’ve been to both and without a doubt it is Budda.

He used to work at the CC in Maryland and he has a better setup. Also less pressure to buy. I’ve done both and his was the better experience.

I went Club Champion in Dallas. Love all my new clubs, but without a doubt there's some pushy sales.

I’ve never been to a Club Champion fitting, so all I can tell you is my experience with Buddha. I did a driver fitting with him and came in with my M2 wanting an entirely new driver. The first thing he asked me was if keeping the same head but putting the right shaft in it if that’s what the numbers bore out as best was an option. He literally talked me OUT of buying a mew head. He also asked me my budget for a shaft and I told him. The shaft that ended up being my best option was a couple hundred less than my budget when there were options closer in price to my budget. He 100% told me the less expensive shaft was the correct one for me. I still play that shaft and head today.
I went back and did a putter fitting with him. He told me what type of putter was best suited to my stroke, along what what adjustments should be made loft, lie and lengthwise. He then showed me multiple brands of putters of the style of head he thought was best for me. Didn’t push any brand over any other. I walked out without making a purchase that day, but I had a printed multi page report with the reccomended options, specs and even down to the grip he thought would be best. I ordered it through a buddy who had some proshop credit he needed to burn up.
I’m a big fan of Buddha’s service, non pushy approach and the fact that he doesn’t seem to push any particular manufacturer over another.

Another vote for Bebu for me. Buddha is not the pushy salesman type. He is literally there to put you in the best set of clubs for YOU. Not the brand or the looks. It's all about your performance standards. Plus he is just a nice guy.

Thank you for all of the feedback. Based on the majority of the recommendations, I booked an appointment @ Bebu for mid March.

I haven’t heard John Joy’s name in a while. Is he still at Le Triomphe?
