He could start for anyone, like I said, except maybe Georgia and Florida.

hes not gonna run like that in the sec. and if he tries to he will get hurt. you then make him one dimensional and he has no chance. you are acting as if hes a great passing qb.

He doesnt have to be a great passer if he has good weapons. LSU will be a perfect example. And he is a better runner than what LSU has, minus JJ.

We are a much better defensive team in 08... Or offensive line is much better also.

In 04 we had JV with a swollen head and we not nearly as deep at RB as we are in 08

I think we are much better off in 08 and it's true $aban had a total attitude issue in 04

I don't think hed start for anyone in the sec because the coaches know that AE wouldn't last the whole year, you saw what happened to tebow who is much more durable then AE

k. and then he can die in like week 3 in sec play. he had the game of his life against michigan. he had a decent game running the ball. but when you cant complete 50% of your passes against georgia southern with a 2nd round draft pick, we have a problem.

and my opinion on the difference between the 2004 and 2008 team is that this is no longer like uncharted water for Lsu. Lsu is used to being a elite program now.

Just as good, if not better, arm and has more mobility. Also, much more gametime experience.

Tebow got beat up so bad because he constantly ran up the middle and constantly ran into people because he is huge. AE would not be the same runner.

True, I know your comment was that no one who wants to win their division would start him. But my comment is in reference to the original question, which was could there be an SEC team who would start him.

The real question should be "how many players around AE could even crack 2nd team on any of our SEC teams?

AE is a great player in a good college system...but the horses around him make the difference in this game against LSU or any other SEC team

I hear you about Armanti Edwards adn playing the Corner Position in the SEC.
But Chris Leak wasnt a big QB's.

Plus look at what Ole Miss QB last year. Armanti can play at any School. Ask Matt Grothe who upset Auburn last year.

His passing numbers are good

PASSING GP-GS Effic Cmp-Att-Int Pct Yds TD Lng Avg/G

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Armanti Edwards 11-11 159.34 148-222-7 66.7 1948 17 68 177.1

And to someone else's point about Dexter Jackson. He was the third receiver in # of catches last year.

AE is that size because he doesnt have to be any bigger against those teams. He would put on a few pounds if he was in the SEC, obviously.

And im sure you are thinking that if AE gets dmolished against LSU, youre point will be proven that he cannot start in the SEC. BUT, not true. He may very well get demolished against LSU because of his surrounding cast being so mediocre.
