$5 (cash) mowing lawns for a landscaping company in Houston. It was the summer of ‘89. Came back to school with $3k for a car after smoking weed, shopping and drinking 40’s all summer long.

I first worked as a paper boy, so couldn't say what hourly rate, but a few years later at 16, worked at a fast food fried chicken joint that no longer exists- $1.45 an hour! Spent all my earnings on a couple of albums...I believe the albums were The Band- Rock of Ages and Cactus-

I got fired from my first job at Winn Dixie too. Only time I've ever been fired in my life.

It was basically all HS kids other than the managers. Most were from Central but we had a number of Zachary & Redemptorist girls as well. Me and one of the cashiers I was fooling around with got into the liquor after closing one night. Got caught

1965 paperboy who delivered 50 papers 7 days a week for $2 per WEEK about .20 an hour.

Thought I was big shite when I got a job washing hubcaps at Hubcap Heaven for $6/hr cash.

Dentist paid us 7 an hour to do maintenence on his land. Got a job at sonic for 5.15 an hour (I asked for 3.50 and they were impressed) and got fired for checking knuckles

7 dollars an hour pumping diesel at the 76 Truck stop in Lafayette back in 1991.

We had a manager at Sherwood Forest Winn Dixie go to the Central WD store around 1988. Probably before your time.

$4 an hour. Putting in windshields, headliners, and carpet in cars at a Glass and Trim shop when I was 15.

.75c/hr 1966.I Was 15,worked for Alexandria Seed Co pulling tassels to raise hybrid seed corn.That was for about a month then I spent the rest of summer with a hoe walking up and down rows of corn chopping down about every third stalk.7am to 5 pm with hour for lunch.Saturday I mowed 2 yards for $10.
