How far is Boone from Atlanta? I've made it from BR to ATL in 10 hours...so add whatever additional time on to that.

The problem is Boone is in the middle of the mountains, and there are no major interstates into the immediate area. While you may be small distance miles wise from the city via straight line, you are still a long time away because of the speed limits and twisting roads up and down mountains. I'm sure I don't know the best way in and out of Boone, but regardless you can't go flying right in there at 70mph.

Yeah, LSU is pretty good to visiting fans. I think they actually most, if not all of their tickets are in the lower bowl.

Yep. most of the SEC schools kinda pepper the opposing fans around the upper stadium so there isn't a large concentration in any one area. LSU by far gives opposing fans the best seats. I'm with Longhorn, LSU should modify that and allow season ticket holders to vie for those seats. Let the opposing fans have the ends of the East Upper etc.

We plan on leaving Boone at 5am, stop 2 times, and arrive in BR by 7pm.

come on out to campus, some of us will be setting up for Sat, and some will be getting cranked up much earlier than that. It will give you a good idea of how much you need to take in on Sat. I will be at the corner of Darymple and Tower dr.

You're right, there are plenty of fans in the uppers but the large contingent of opposing fans are in the southeast corner. I just haven't found that other SEC schools bunch the opposing fans as tightly together in that good of seats.

And BTW, if you got tickets halfway up at the 35 at UF, you can bet they weren't in the LSU section. UF scatters opposing fans around worse than any stadium. You've got the core section of LSU players' parents, boosters etc, but after that, look around the stadium.

we were in the players family section, good call.

It is actually a funy story, it was '95 or '96 and we were using Melvin Hill's tickets, but we were white, so we could not be related to him, so we were "Chad Kessler's cousins". Halfway through the game the lady in front of us asked us who we were and we told her that, as she turned around with a big 87 button and said oh yeah, i am his mom!

We paused for a second, than responded with "hey aunt Kessler, how's it going!"
