What’s the best low light scope for deer hunting for next year, (don’t mind saving up some money)

I have Zeiss on all of my rifles, they are great for low light situations.

Schmidt & Bender, Kahles, Swarovski z5 and up. Any of the Alpha glass is going to be your best in low light. Money wise the Meopta Meostar R2's are the best bang for your buck. Above that price point the law of diminishing returns becomes even smaller

Schmidt and Bender has always been known as the best.

Maybe this model - LINK

If you don’t already have quality binos, consider them as well. You’ll use binoculars hunting a whole lot more than you will a scope.

Swaro Z8i. I do have 2 zeiss v8s coming for myself but only because I needed a specific feature that swaro only does on a special order basis and the difference isn't so huge that I would regret going zeiss. Schmidt is very good but their customer service is arse. Don't buy one for that alone. Meopta R2 is close to the swaro z6 (very very good) at $1k less.

Without a doubt, the Meopta MeoStar R1 is one of the best out there and probably the best option for your $. There are a lot of videos and forum posts saying the same thing about the R1.

I think this is more true for Texas and out west hunters

For where I hunt, if you use binoculars you will get a nice glimpse of your buck walking away.... Just not enough time in our situation to comfortable use binos

Got a Tract scope this year for a longe range build. Took it hunting and it’s great glass. Literally watched deer long after shooting time, long after my Swarovski binoculars couldn’t see anything. It’s pretty high end IMO at $1700, German glass, Japanese internals. The staggered illumination adjustments are a nice touch...The one thing I had to do late is back off the magnification, but was pretty impressive how it handled low light. Only issue I’ve had with it is the glare at sunset with my lane to the west. Might have to use a sun shied ( it comes with one) next year...
