Is showing on ESPNU right now - 2007 Pitt v. West Virginia. What a day that was for the Tigers.

The worst, or most amusing depending on how you look at it, is that the refs were in WVU's pocket so hard for that game and they still lost.

I'm not big into conspiracy theories, but it appeared to me that the Big East wanted to put somebody into the MNC BAD!

I agree. And thank God for that game, since it eclipsed the 2007 LSU-Arkansas game, which was the previous record holder.

I was in a bar watching that Pitt-WVU game. I had my LSU gear on because the SECCG had aired earlier in the day. Very few people in the bar understood why a lone LSU fan was cheering wildly for Pittsburgh.

A couple of fathom holding calls can make a conspiracist out of anyone.

WVU just missed a 20 yd field goal. Wannstadt just broke out the crutches. Rich Rod is confused...

Still have to go with the Jamie Howard game. While not a tremendous upset, Jamie singlehandidly put many Vegas oddsmakers in cement shoes, or on easy street.

The Jamie Howard job was bad, but not much was at stake. All WVU had to do was win against a crappy Pitt team at home and they play for the NC.

Alexis Serna, 2004, Tiger Stadium. THREE missed extra points, one in overtime. IIRC, he missed a field goal along the way as well.

And it's not that he sucked - he went on to win the Groza award the next year. He just couldn't handle the pressure as a freshman in his first game action. Of course, the 92000 maniacs in the stands probaly had something to do with it.

That day was the most exciting day I've ever had watching football on TV. My brother couldn't handle the excitement. He went to sleep before half time of the Pitt WVU game. My wife and some friends and I watched the whole show, from the Les Miles "have a great day" press conference, through all three of the relevant games, and through hours of commentary on TV speculating who the pick would be. It was a trip!

The 2007 LSU Tiger Championship football season was full of flaws. But no one could have possibly asked for a more exciting season. From the heights of victory over Va Tech to the nailbiters of Auburn, Florida, and Alabama, to the disappointment of Arkansas, to the SECCG and the CG - it was crazy and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a more exciting college football season for any team at any place in the world at any time that the 2007 Tigers.

32 yd missed field goal by WVU. Rodriquez is starting to price homes in Ann Arbor now that Les told everyone that his is busy, and to have a great day.

I don't live in the south or southeast, so LSU fans are relatively rare in these parts.
