Not including transportation, about what was the total expense per person last time? Just a ballpark.
Posted on 1/28/21 at 9:49 am to mikedatyger
Well...this next go around, I anticipate the entry fee climbing to something close to $100 p/individual. This will include some kind of food at the course.
I will know more in a few weeks and will communicate that.
Does that help?

Myself and probably 2 other posters / lurkers could be in for this. All dependent on date.

Yes.
Long way off, but sounds like fun. I have an alumni friend in Austin, might be able to stay with him to help save on costs. He might be interested in playing as well.
Probably addressed before, but would you fly into Austin or Houston?

Lurkers not allowed
I don’t know, maybe they can ride in carts and watch, but not play.

Austin.
It’s a Northern suburb of Austin.

I just realized how close this is to our hunting camp. I can probably get away with this after all.. only preference is sometime during deer season..
Yes to a Houston outing. GR said he can get us on at Kingwood.

If yall fill a gofundme up for initiation dues, I'll join GCH so we can use the member course.

Just tell me the date and I’m there.
I’ll try to not shank my way around the course this time. Yikes

Bring your rifle to the course. We must have seen 40+ deer during the round then I got liquored up and tried to give an 8 point a hug in the driveway.
ETA: Here he is.

Berry Creek was OK for the inaugural tournament but if want to make this into a great event you need to do this tournament at Barton Creek or Horseshoe Bay....I would bring several guys from La to BC or HB but to play BC...ain't going to happen! Even Lost Pines should be considered!

In like Flynn, the fall should work, also need to get a round in before the tourney... I was in the Winston & TigerFred group (I shall request to stay in this group), there might or might not have been an accident happen on a hole. The old lady was looking for something and she found her answer, it just didn't fit the depth she envisioned..

Did you play in the last one? I don't recall seeing your screen name...
I agree, those are great courses, and I enjoy playing them.
That said, they would also be significantly more expensive in regards to entry fees, and I have to think getting a Saturday, so people could come up and not miss a work day, would be challenging that time of year here.
Since this one would be to raise some money for a charitable organization, then I would prefer to keep entry costs lower for the players, so they would be more inclined to donate.
I have no problems at all checking with those courses to see if they have the availability and would like to host, but I would also hope you would still consider bringing yourself and your friends from LA to help support a great organization that helps children, as well as have some fun with some fellow Tigers.
If not, well...then maybe another time.
