Really decent move by Trump.
These Guardsmen were just political props, meant as a show of force. And even if they were to actually have to do something military-related in DC, it's still easy enough to secure a hotel from whatever antifa/right wing protesters, etc. It isn't Syria.

They slept on the floor inside the night prior, outside the next night is too much tho.
Thx to all for serving our country, but we know why they were put under these conditions to begin with. So Holla at ya boys for that.

Yes, but it forces them to come up with better arrangements for the troops. Trump doesn't have to give them free lodging and the Troops get better lodging now. Trump still gets credit for offering, and doesn't have to foot the bill.

The parking garage only had 1 two stall bathroom for all 5000 troops. Now after being packed in like sardines:
