"Most" elite athletes could be TE or DE?!? Lol. The stupidity on this board is without bounds.

Guys like Brock Lesner and The Rock couldnt make a team but you yahoos think "most" NBA players could play TE and DE.

I dare say 0% could be a DE right now. Lebron has/had the ability to be a great football player...perhaps he or a few others could play TE right now. They wouldnt be every down players but perhaps pass catchers.

NBA players are athletic. If certain players had chosen to pursue football, they could have made it. With current muscle mass, few would survive for long. Current rules do make it better but many players cant even make it through the lane without falling and crying.

Football requires a certain mindset. You have to enjoy contact/be fearless. Just being big and athletic doesnt mean you have that.

Very few, if any, NFL players could make an NBA team right now. I would bet on zero (outside of publicity stunts).

Edited to add: actually, some NFL players could likely make a team as Rodman types. Only offense is dunks but there for dirty work. Rebounds and D

I will spin this topic right here and answer it as NBA players that I wished would have chosen/also played football:

AI. He was fearless and exciting. Great highschool player. A bit small but i think he could have been an anomoly. Possible success at WR and CB

Westbrook has similar feel but is bigger. At 6-4, if he had good hands, he could have made a great WR.

Lebroni: 6'9" is too tall for football but I think he was exceptional enough to be an outlier.

Grayson Allen and Christian Laettner: i just wanna see them get crushed
