I picked this up at Total Wine in Metairie yesterday. I would get it again for sure. Very dense and high quality king cake. I know there was a thread about the strawberry not being worth it but this one is.

I'm not much of a fan of king cakes with all the granulated sugar all over the top. Yeah it looks nice. I like sweet. I don't like chewing sand on the ones that go heavy with it.

I just bought a Brennan's strawberry king cake today to take to a party I am going to on Sunday. It is pink and looks more like a Valentines Day cake than a Mardi Gras cake but it does look good. I will let you know how it is.

King cakes are terrible and only worth eating at work. King cakes with granulated sugar on them are extra terrible.

King cake FOMO is real… Any standards I may have once had went right out the window when I moved away from LA. They all look and sound delicious!

I got one last year and it wasn't good. Very dry.
