I thought Myles played well but he still played against MSU, Vandy, and Missouri

Brennan played fine, but going 1-2 against Ms state, vandy, and Missouri does not qualify as “simply balling” by any means.

That should have been expected considering how long he’s been in the program and that he had a year longer with the playbook snd overall offensive system. And Myles is a really talented QB. I think a lot of our fans don’t see it because of how good Joe was in 2019. No one can follow that act.

I really like Brennan and was very impressed with the way he bounced back from a bad first half vs State. That said, he’s going to have a fight on his hands to start in 21, especially if he isn’t healthy enough to practice in the spring. Johnson has good mechanics, he’s smart and he’s mobile enough to make a defense pay.

If the new staff turns him loose, I think Johnson is capable of putting up similar or better stats than Brennan if he can get more control on his deep balls. It isn’t that he has no arm strength. He just doesn’t have the same accuracy and consistency going long that he has on the shorter throws yet. If Max improves that over the off-season, then Myles may not get the job back.

Throw in Nuss as an EE and you have the biggest and best LSU QB battle in over a decade. That’s good for us no matter who wins out.

Brennan is not physical enough to play in the SEC...unless in this offseason he added muscle mass...he'll get reps but he won't hold up.

Brennan -
79-131/60.3%/1112yds/11TD-3INT

Johnson -
88-150/58.7%/1069yds/8TD-1INT

Brennan's stats are not significantly better even with four years in the program. Do you think having Marshall might have improved Johnson's stats?

There are stats and there is the eye test when those stats occurred and what the competition level was.
You can’t compare MSU, Mizzou to UFs defense when UF had something to play for.
Let alone, he did that on the road.
Come on man.
