For some reason, MB is my favorite place to go - probably more for the nostalgia of going with my parents when I was younger.
I like going to Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing. Lots of good food, shops, shows, etc.
Not sure if you're in MB or NMB, but we always hit Pier 14 once when we go. It's on the beach and has live music most nights. Nothing fancy, just cool to relax with the salt water breeze.
MB is a good place for kids of your age. Anywhere you go, you can find something interesting for them to do. I would highly recommend having an idea of what you want to do for dinner so you can get reservations early.
