We have taken our backyard on a DIY basis as far as we can go. I’m ready for a pro to step in & complete our vision.
Project would include minor dirt work, sod, water feature, paths & loads of plants, maybe 3-4 trees. Budget is flexible my estimate $25K +/-. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I used a guy from Hammond named Sam Hawkins. Price was very reasonable for what we got. Would use again in a second. He even bid it out to several companies for us.

If you really want the best architect look no further than Chris Braud. He has been continuously in the BR market since the early 80’s. Cheaper options like “landscapers” exist but can’t do his quality of work. He has done multiple jobs for me including new, renovation and even pools. He has done huge jobs like Saban’s old house on highland to smaller homes all around town.
Look him up at Plantech Nursery. You won’t be let down.

I don’t know if he is an actual landscape architect but Justin Miller at Millscapes does all of the above. He is one of the only guys around BR that does ponds if that’s the sort of water feature you are looking for.

He said 25k not 250k
Greenscape Design. You need a landscape contractor not an landscape architect per se

Will second that you're not looking for a "landscape architect"
You want a reputable design build landscape contractor. They will still be able to give you a professionally designed plan which you need for this kind of investment.

Rule #1. Never tell anyone what your budget is. Let them know what you want and let them quote it.

Eh that’s not true. When I was in that business knowing your budget up front is key in doing the design. I don’t want to spend hours developing a plan I know you can’t pay for.
Give a range, maybe not an absolute
Number.
Depending on your idea of water feature, that could blow your budget.

Exactly.
No idea of a budget is an instant red flag for any kind of construction.
A contractor I worked for wouldn't even do an initial consultation without knowing a budget.
OP has a solid budget for an impressive backyard and it sounds appropriate for what was described. Size/type of pathways and the water feature are the 2 real variables. Stepping stones in mulch vs travertine paver walkways. Bubble rock vs pond with waterfalls.

Green Escapes Nursery in Prairieville did all my landscaping design and installing when I built my house several years ago. They do good and are reasonably priced. Check them out.

Coming from someone in the landscape industry Chris Braud at plant tech is by far the best in town.
