now do the odds of a completely healthy 35 year old, with 0 preconditions, catching and then dying from COVID-19.... also extremely unlikely?

I don’t get why so many people just focus on death with Covid. You can still have serious issues and survive or just be really really sick for 3 weeks. Most vaccines we take are for things that likely won’t kill us but will make you sick. I don’t hear of people turning down the chicken pox vaccine because chicken pox won’t kill you.

My neighbor across the street had a very healthy son who was in his early 30's. I found out six months ago that he died from the virus. I saw him about a month before he died and I would never have guessed that he was sick. I'm sure he caught it after I saw him. This young man always looked like he was in good health which is why I had a problem believing that he died. If he could catch the virus then anybody can catch it. I got my shot this past Monday. I didn't feel a thing while I was being injected. After the shot was given I had to sit in the lobby for 15 minutes to make sure that I didn't have a bad reaction to the vaccine.
