rated higher than ours, so probably. The last time I checked, our healthcare system was ranked down around Mexico's,
Why do so many international patients come here for care?

Those rankings are complete vullshit based on leftist ideas of what constitutes a good system.

Lol. I as left-wing as allowed in the current US political climate. But I think our tax system is mostly fine barring the tax evasion that’s allowed for rich people. The biggest issue is where our tax money goes.

Rusty gave you the best answer. If you want to further no why it sucks have a look at Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea. Better yet, just visit or try to visit those places.

I’ve scrolled past the word “incentive” too many times

Then perhaps quit scrolling past and spend some time thinking about what it means.

Incentives drive all of human behavior. Our entire existence is dominated by competing incentives and our ability to navigate them for the maximum beneficial effect as prioritized by ourselves.

Socialism predicates the success of entire societies on inverted incentive structures. The population is expected to prioritize everyone else above themselves and their family. It’s only ever effective in so far as the state has sufficient apparatus to compel this behavior by force, and even then, only partially.

Equality. It sounds good on the surface but it will eventually cut out the middle class and leave two classes. We who are outside the bubble will be poor and you will have those inside the bubble that will own everything. We are heading that way in a rapid pace since COVID.

Healthcare quality =/= healthcare system. Our healthcare quality is unparalleled by anyone. I don’t think anyone is saying the quality of healthcare is an issue, but its the access the healthcare. Our healthcare system is what the problem is. Its not a leftist idea either. People across the spectrum in the US agree that our healthcare system is crappy for a 1st world, developed country. The dissension exist because people disagree on how to fix it.

Govt owns the means of production.

It doesn't work because people dislike monopolies and centrally planned economies have never worked.

You can walk into any non-profit hospital ER and the taxpayer will pick up the tab.

Doing nothing for a very long time sucks.
You've never spent any real time in poor neighborhoods, have you? It doesn't suck to them. They have grown accustomed to a subsistence existence thanks to programs like the Great Society.

Conservatives talk about revolutionary socialism,

This is a dumb take considering there are numerous “socialist” countries in existence today that continue to lag behind the rest of the world and go through bouts of hyperinflation, no growth, and just, in general, lack of variety.

Over 14 million Americans have food insecurity

Lol come on man

Anyone starving in this country wants to starve. Obesity rates correlate with poverty. What an amazing testament to the prosperity of this country.

Show me a socialist country where obesity rates correlate with poverty. We don’t have a lack of food my friend.

You don’t get much? Jesus you people, what are you not getting. You can get a MRI, biopsy, or surgery tomorrow. Walk in any office and get it done. You can go to the most prestigious hospitals in the world where royalty from around the world come for treatment.

The grass always looks greener.

You do realize that there are millions of dysfunctional people right? They are poor by their own hand. Poor choices lead to poor outcomes.

And the people I talked to said you might as well see a veterinarian and the female doctors have to be prostitutes for the tourists on their off days because they make more servicing Canadian dongs than medical services.

You can walk into an ER with not a single dollar to your name and get treated.

Sure sounds like access to me.
