re: This is the best time for Saban to retire. He probably won't, but here's why he should.

He needs to quit fathering football players and be the father and grandfather his kids and grandkids deserve. They’ve waited a long time for his attention.
I have no idea how much time he spends with them. I know it cant be a whole lot during the season, He is great at managing time obviously so Im sure if Ms Terry said Nick its time, He would have a hell of a hard time telling her no.

going higher does what?
I dont know what other challenge is there other than hitting 10 NC. No one will ever catch him now I dont believe. Currently Dabo probably has the best shot at even getting into the realm of 7 NC but thats still a very low percentage. He hates the NFL. Maybe all time wins too? How far is he away from that?

Saban could have 12 more 12-win seasons and still be 9 wins behind Paterno. He just got into the game too late to contend for that title.
Only 2 FBS coaches ahead of Saban coached fewer than 35 seasons--Mack Brown (32) and LaVell Edwards (29). Saban is at 23.
