My Tabasco peppers seem to lose heat the bigger they get. This is my first time growing them. Is that a normal thing to happen?

The tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans were pulled today. Sweet potato slips, peanuts, pink eyes, corn, and more peppers will take their place.

If you want them hotter then stop watering them a few days before harvest. Heard that from a famous pepper dude one time. Could be a tall tale, but I believe him.
