If I were buying for myself, I’d probably go with the 2902. The only monitors the 2000 has that the 2902 doesn’t that I care about is the lightning detector and soil moisture sensor. I could care less about moon phases and those other features.
To me it doesn’t justify the cost. Including purchase of the sensors your looking at a $180 swing. The only reason I have the 2000 is because it was a gift.
I’ve been very happy with it though. It’s been flawless in reporting. I like that I can send data to weather underground and see it on there. (KLAIOWA11)
Idk if you have iPhone or not but if you do when you get your station download the PWS Monitor app. I like using it for quick looks as opposed to the ambient app which shows you a lot more info but requires some scrolling.
