I was born in the 70s but don't remember them, but I've never seen the country quite like this.
I think there were tense times in other decades but we just didn't have all of it shoved in our faces 24/7, so the likelihood of it boiling up was lessened.

It’s not just the left. The right is just as virulent in its opposition to anything just left of a centrist position on any issue.

I’m north of 70 and I totally agree with this. There is NO free speech anymore. This is the makings of a very bleak future if this persists.
