Just fired by Cowboys. Very unlikely but I’ve always been a fan of his versatility and actually has ties to LSU.
Would be interested to see how he would do in college. Recruiting could be a problem.
I know it’s not very likely but I would be excited if it was Nolan.

Yeah let’s go the route of fired NFL coach again. Worked great with Cam Cameron and Scott Linehan.

What is the problem with Nolan? Is it because he is most likely would never leave the NFL? Yeah he has been fired a few times but he is highly respected in the NFL.

ETA: Nolan as DC and LB Coach.
Raymond DB coach.
With a DL Coach that is a good recruiter, I think that would be a great staff.

Wtf, why do people keep bringing up old retread coaches? Did you see Nolan in Dallas this past season?

Some want Kris Richard who was fired from the Cowboys last year. Failing in the NFL doesn’t mean automatic failure in college football. Mike Nolan is a good coach but not every fit works.

Richard defense ranked 11th in the league with the Cowboys. Nolan with an even better roster was 28th in the league lol

Hell no. The old "well he got fired in the NFL but hed be good enough for college" is the absolute worst hire a college football team can make. It almost never works out.

Did you read that thread? It was about bringing Nolan back as LB coach. No one wants him as a DC.
