high ankle sprain plus back spasms take a while to heal.

Our QB's have not even faced live action, they have been in green jersey's and they are getting hurt. What is with that?
Amen! What's going to happen when he really gets hit. Durability could well be an issue with JL.

Miles said that he will be bck on Monday, and had a 67% chance of being back before then. Holding Lee out is precuationary, but every practice missed is a step back from the starting job against App. State.

alright its good to hear the legal stuff was debunked. Kind of scary though.
I know this seems like a stretch (gasp), but i think he is the second worst loss this team could have behind Darry Beckwith with Dickson and Ciron being T3.
We lose Hatch, we have JJ who could easily fill his running shoes
We lose JJ, we have Hatch
We lose Lee, we really don't have someone that can get the ball down the field at all based on my observations. JJ can one day, but he's too raw as of now.

You think we have a huge problem against App State if Lee doesn't play? Seriously?

if these 2 guys are going down and having problems now, even though i am hearing they have been tough practices. how banged up will they be once the season starts or when sec play begins. can you imagine true freshmen jefferson starting @ auburn or in the swamp. cause the way it looks now, its gonna happen
Posted on 8/21/08 at 9:51 pm to tigermaniac85
defintely ISSUES. He is missing reps and proving to be injury prone and has not even played a live college down yet.

I'd say you were overreacting.

Lee needs to be getting alot of reps. We HAVE to throw the football, and for this season he is the only answer.
I dont think he is injury prone, but i do think Miles is intentionally holding him out to ensure that he is 100% for game week preperation. Hopefully he has solidified himself enough at this point where missing practice isn't that big of a deal

yesssss. and also in the SEC they hit people HARD!!! i want an agile QB. someone we can watch dodge people. I dont want to have to wince every time they go down, hoping the can stand up.

nice edit.
I don't doubt that.
Still has nothing to do with the ankle or back.
The QB's are as protected as anyone on the practice field. Live action can fare no better.
App. St. is not the issue as far as QB concerns go.

Geez can we sehow Hatch performs in a game first before we write him off and it all doom and gloom
If Lee is our Only hope as the tenor of this thred suggest then perhaps it is a ggod sign Hatch is neck even with him

Santa, you need to quit playing POCKET POOL.
Hatch didn't do a bad job moving the ball in the Spring game for those TDs.
Who was that defense he was playing against when he showed that athleticism?
This high ankle injury is the same type that Flynn had, and they know how to handle it.
Flynn didn't do too bad on his return to play against OSU, if I remember correctly.
Lee will be back as the backup in time for Troy.
Likely, he won't see the field against the appholes.
It won't matter ... LSU 52, Appholes 0

What is your deal? Hatch is 6'3" 225 or so, you think he can't throw 10-20 yard routes? I'd imagine he can throw significantly better than Tommy Frazier or Eric Crouch. He's obviously not as good running as those guys, but teams have been able to win without being able to throw deep balls. And I'd bet his arm strength is comparable to Tim Rattay's in collge, and under Crowton he set all kinds of NCAA passing records. Crowton will be creative with whoever is back there.

What's even more worse is that I thought he was spelling it that way on purpose to be funny.
