This is not corruption. About ten other Presidents have hired their sons and daughters and son-in-laws etc to work in their administration. Why was it legal for FDR and Eisenhower to hire their kids and not Trump? Answer that.

As for Ivanka and Jared Kushner being "unqualified" again that is crap. Jared has gotten more accomplished in the Middle East then anybody member of the US Govt in the last 30 years.

SCANDAL #2: Trump pardoned Charles Kushner LINK , Jared Kushner's father. Charles Kushner was convicted of making false statements to the FEC regarding his campaign contributions to Democratic candidates in New Jersey, tax evasion, and witness tampering. The witness tampering part of it was fun: he hired a private detective to hire prostitute to sleep with the witness, and to videotape the proceedings. He then tried to blackmail the witness with the tape. LINK

Again this is not corruption. There needs to be some illegality for there to be corruption. It is not corrupt to pardon people.

This is no worse then Obama pardoning known traitors and terrorists.

Not sure where you stand politically but if people voted for Sloe Joe because they believe there will be some federal legislation to make weed legal across America it just illustrates how fricked up our society truly is.

SCANDAL #3: Trump has played golf 298 times since taking office, or just under 1/4 of his entire presidency (10 months of only golf, every day). Estimates vary on how much this cost taxpayers between tens of millions and close to 150 Million dollars. LINK /. Most of these trips are to his own properties, where the Secret Services pays his businesses full freight for things like renting rooms and golf carts.

Again this is not corruption. It is not illegal for the President to play golf.

If you worry about wasteful spending just look at Michelle Obama. She had a staff of 20 made up of mostly friends and family. 20 fricking people!!! Melania Trump only had a staff of five. Michelle took these people on numerous trips every year for eight years....all on the taxpayer's dime. She should have stayed her fat butt at home.

Dude you basically have nothing. Zero. Zilch. Trump has been the most investigated President of my lifetime and playing golf was the most "so called" corrupt thing you could find? Jeez. You fricking ignorant people need to lay off CNN and MSNBC. They are leading you astray.

you would have blown a gasket had, say, Hillary Clinton hired Chelsea to oversee COVID
chelsea is as beltway as it gets. her parents are 2 of the worst humans ever and are textbook political establishment

quote:

you can hire outside the beltway without hiring your unqualified kids
it's funny you think there's so many qualified people running around who aren't obligated to the political class and would be loyal to trump. having said that, plenty of people on the pb have commented that the kushner's would not have been their first choice. but as for that being a "scandal," that's freaking laughable

quote:

Trump pardoned Charles Kushner
President Trump granted a full pardon to Charles Kushner. Former United States Attorney for the District of Utah Brett Tolman and the American Conservative Union’s Matt Schlapp and David Safavian support a pardon of Mr. Kushner. Since completing his sentence in 2006, Mr. Kushner has been devoted to important philanthropic organizations and causes, such as Saint Barnabas Medical Center and United Cerebral Palsy. This record of reform and charity overshadows Mr. Kushner’s conviction and 2 year sentence for preparing false tax returns, witness retaliation, and making false statements to the FEC.

this "scandal" is particularly laughable given that he has accomplished arguably more than any president ever

This is made all the worse because he repeatedly promised he would not play golf
"i'm not going to play much golf" is not even close to the same thing as promising not to play golf.

these 3 scandals are the stupidest things of all time. if you think these are scandals, wait until we talk about incestuous pedo hunter, his china/ukraine deals and joe covering all that up

First, I agree with you on Obama pardoning traitors (if you mean commuting the sentence of Manning). It was a stupid virtue-signaling move than endangered national security.

I don’t have a ton of time today, but it seems we disagree on what corruption is. To me, nepotism and self-dealing are forms of corruption, even if not illegal, because they abuse the public trust for personal gain. To me it seems like most of what we call the swamp is more-or-less legal self-dealing that is not in our (citizens’) interests. I understand that you disagree, and that’s ok, but do you mind telling me more specifically what counts for you? Here’s what I’m interested in:

(1) When you say corruption requires something illegal, do you mean just against a law, or more a violation of a criminal law, or even something involving “moral turpitude”, like fraud? Do “process crimes” like what George Papadopolous pled to and what Bill Clinton was impeached for count as corruption (definite “yes” in my mind)?

(2) how clearly does corruption have to be proven for you to accept it? Criminal court standards or something less?

(3) do you apply the same standard to all officials, regardless of party affiliation, etc.?

You stupid frick, the son in law who did more than anyone else ever regarding your precious "Middle East peace"?

Compare what he did to what anybody working for Obama did.

This is why there is no point discussing anything with you people - you are delusional from the jump.

Bill Clinton pardoned ACTUAL terrorists who ACTUALLY bombed the capital.

Try again. Doing something a leftist disagrees with is not a "scandal".

that's a silly perspective and it's disappointing after my responses that should have cleared the situation up. Yes, in some cases nepotism is unethical. In this case, given the political climate and what kushner accomplished, no way. But it takes a reasonable person to see that.

The rest of your post is semantic gobbledygook that avoids the question in the op.

Also, where are the rest of my scandals. I was expecting an avalanche
