re: What height do you consider to be a short guy?

I’m 5’8”, which used to be average height. Now it’s about 5’9”. I’ve never felt “short,” even though technically I am.

The whole world is built for people my size, so it’s not such a bad deal. I never have to duck. I can fit okay in an airline seat. I can still reach the cereal boxes at the top of the grocery store shelf. I’m cool with it.

But I will say this. At 5’8” I might as well be 5’0” when it comes to dating. There are women who are 5’4” who won’t give you the time of day if you’re not the magical 6’0”. They can deny it all they want, but they are lying to you. You better have a great personality, great sense of humor, and a fat wallet to make up for the common deformity of being born 5’8”.
