Supporting Staff Question

I am digging the combo of Peetz and Freeman. They are strong candidates. Hoping this happens!
Neither have recruited this region. (Maybe Peetz has some experience) I do believe winning solves recruiting issues, but at the same time, you should give them a head start by surrounding them with good recruiters/coaches in this region.
Thoughts?
Has there been any rumblings about possible coaching staff?

Never pass on a good coach simply because he doesn’t have recruiting ties to a certain part of the country.

Having Bo Davis will help the defensive recruiting.
Coordinators mainly are used to sell scheme and close on certain players. Position coaches are the real recruiters.

If they can sell kids the vision that they have for the program, build relationships w/the high school coaches and, most importantly, they bust their asses and grind at it I don’t see why any of these guys can’t be successful in the SEC.

Bo isn't coming. Wasn't cleared to coach in the SEC.
I was pretty excited to get him back. Which is why this was my question.

Having Bo would help in recruiting if we could hire him, which is looking uncertain at best right now.

Not saying they can't.. there are certain position coaches in the region that have relationships with schools/kids already.

Saban and Urban and not from the South. They will never work here.

Goodness you're an idiot.
Did you even read my post?
Did anybody actually read the post?

Hiring 2 Coaches that are unfamiliar with Recruiting SEC
If you haven't figured it out yet... that was Saban. I'll never apply geography to ability ever again.
A good head coach will use those assistants. So yes, those assistants matter. I will say it matters less than say 20, especially 30, years ago however. Back then you needed a network with the high schools to even identify the best kids. Now, we have the rise of a huge "recruiting media" and of course the interwebs.
So identifying the kids has changed in a huge way. What you are saying is absolutely true about reeling them in. But I say geography, even for the assistants, matters not. There's many many more variables. Saban proved that to be the case here at LSU. Other coaches have done so since.

Pretty sure Peetz has some

Again, read the damn post.
I'm asking if there are names out there who have successfully recruited and coached in the region to help the new guys get a leg up.
Goodness... Read. Don't assume.

Hey you started a shitty thread.
This is what you get.
Also, there aren't really any spots open except the ones we all know about.
Peetz, mangas, freeman, and bo davis or whoever they decide on.
Callaway will probably get busch's spot

Saban said no to letting him back in the SEC and Sankey said "yes sir."

LSU has enough recruiters first coach second people on staff. They need some coach first recruit second guys.

You're question/postulation necessarily links (a) to paraphrase, good recruiting coaches and (b) in the region, i.e. geography.
And my answer to you was- uncouple the recruiter from geography because it doesn't matter anymore. Or, more precisely, matters so much less now that other "recruiting traits" make the difference.
