We LSU fans need to cut out the small man syndrome. “He will never come here bc.....”, “Texas this, Notre Dame that”. We are a top tier team and program, regardless of the tough/bad 2020 season. We can pull top recruits and will always be able to pull top coaches. Texas can’t leave anyone alone to do a job, similar to Auburn. Notre Dame can’t get the players. Look, LSU isn’t perfect, of course-but it’s a top national program, I’d say top 5. Stop with the pre-2000 history. In the 2000s there is hardly any better. The coach we get or don’t get want be because some other school has a better opening.

I don’t think anyone in their right mind thinks that at this point Texas is a better job than LSU

Why do the fans need to do anything regarding a coaching hire?

if we weren't in the same division and same conference as Alabama I think we could be another Clemson, Oklahoma, or Ohio St. and be almost guaranteed a spot in the playoff every year except maybe last year. Just sucks that lil Nicky is the GOAT and we have to see him every year and not even in the SEC championship game. I still believe LSU is a top 5 program in this country though and we will be back next year.

I agree that the roster has to be most appealing. A lot of solid pieces in place to make some real noise and advance your career.

However, you're in denial if you don't think that the current issues surrounding the program won't be factored into someone's decision. Especially with the wife's input.

I was unaware that we have a problem of coaches and players running around physically assaulting random women. And furthermore, when the coach tells his wife how many millions that LSU is willing to pay for the position, I think whatever hang ups she has may just go out the window.
