We don't need a safeties coach. The DBs need to be in one room learning from the same guy.

Why?
Bama seems to be able to do it. Lots of teams do it. He’ll get rid of lber coaching also. Those guys work with the dbs a ton.
In reality they can be in the same room with different coaches. Nfl teams survive with 50 different coaches.
What needs to happen is a dc needs to have control of the defense and have everyone on the same page. Worked under aranda. Didn’t under pelini.

It depends what we fill so far we have the following open

OC
PGC (TE)
DC
Safety
Linebackers
Dline

I think whoever the new PGC takes over TE or honesty we just throw TE in with WRs at this point

DC will either coach LB or Safeties

I think O will hire a Dline coach

I will take it. Get the whole Joseph family in here. Vance wants to be a hc n the nfl again. Probably getting paid somewhere between 2 and 4 mil. Maybe Mickey is telling them how great it is at LSU.

Tight end has been handled by a GA the past three seasons.

According to this Twitter thread, the thought is Corey signed off on this kind of move because Mickey Joseph is already on staff

On top of that, here are some recruiting battles Terry has won.

Terry started out at LSU and I know loves Louisiana. It would be interesting to see him work with his cousin Mickey and to see what kind of footing he was able to gain in other recruiting beds outside of Louisiana.

Raymond is a CB coach maybe he's not comfortable coaching S even though he has done it in the past. Maybe he's not as good as this board thinks there. You lose a very good recruiter with Busch so it makes sense they want another guy who can recruit there.

Raymond has coached safeties at a high level. I think it's his responsibility as the recruiting CD now, that is taking him away from being all in with the whole secondary.
