Is Memphis the worst city to be a professional athlete in?

When you look at the three major sports in America?
It's a ghetto infested dump. The airport is dying quickly.
Some nightlife, but nothing like the other major cities.
Not really close to anywhere else that is worth visiting as an NBA player.
OKC is better before it's brought up.
I imagine your dollar goes further but that's about the only plus that I can think of.

Shockingly, Memphis has some damn good Colombian restaurants. Most random shite ever

Green Bay.
I couldn’t think of a worse place to be.
Portland has to be up there too.
Buffalo and Detroit.
I’d take Memphis over any of those.

Nice little town but as a multi-millionaire you'd be bored out of your damn mind.

So weird considering they’re FedEx hub.

Good article about how the airport has no crowds.
Not great weather in that part of the country either.
I like their midtown area and southpoint seems like a good area.

Boston is notoriously racist, so most professional athletes may not love it there.

I live in Memphis, used to live in Chicago burbs. East Memphis/Germantown/Collierville suburban area is pretty much the same as the suburbs in any big city.

Oddly Green Bay would be one of my first choice of places to play. Historic franchise so you are always going to get media love, small town so basically no paparazzi, super loyal fan base, and some great cities within a few hours.

No one has mentioned NOLA?

Green Bay has zero problem attracting big time free agents. Probably helps that they’re always good

NOLA is pretty sweet if you don’t get murdered. Like Green Bay there’s no paparazzi but you are actually in a major city. Great fan base and a proven head coach.

I'm sure hanging out in the suburbs is exactly what a rich 21 year old black dude wants to do
