I tried looking through all the comments, but didn't see my question:
Is there a continuous record video camera that overwrites itself weekly or monthly that someone can recommend for residential use?

For continuous recording that excludes battery cameras with or without solar. That leaves PoE cameras (preferred, basically your standard security camera + recorder) or plug-in wifi cameras (I avoid at almost all costs, low quality and unreliable video).
Video retention period (whether it overwrites weekly/monthly/whatever) depends on how much storage you get and how many cameras are recording to it.
Do you know your particular application and needs? Indoor/outdoor? Lots of activity in the area(s)? "Smart" notifications?
