Guilbeau says they can't hit the broad side of barn, compared them to Sol Graves, and basically said weakest talent pool since the 90s!

Byrd says both can do good things, can get the ball to the recievers etc?

Guilbeau has made ESPNs blog with his witty writing.........Byrd has made it with his on the field ability?

WHO SHOULD WE BELIEVE?

Gilbeau is actually a very nice guy, and it may surprise most here that he likes LSU and wants us to win.

Journalists, more specifically editorial journalists, are paid to get a reaction from people. If they're not getting some reaction, they're not doing their job.

Guilbeau no doubt. Guilbeau spelled backwards is Nostradumbass.

Believe what ever you want, but most high school QB's can hand the ball off behind a strong o-line.

It is also a journalist's job to report the news, one day the news was our qbs are crap........

Next day an article with quotes from a distinguished player, albeit a WR, says the exact opposite of what he reported!!!

Guilbeau is either A)full of shite B)secretly longing to be like his hero Finebaum C) totally correct

Take off the p and g glaases gang. Hate Guilbeau all you want but he's right. We have NO proven quarterback and its very much a question mark. Thats just the facts and the sooner you come to grips with it the better.

That said, I think Lee could be the man given the chance.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, the article was not about proven qbs...........it was about how talented they were!

I know they aren't seasoned qbs, but I also know their ability is far greater than what Guilbeau presented!

I'm not saying either one is right, but it isn't like Byrd is going to come out and say anything besides what he did.

People generally find what they are looking for...I'm looking for a repeat! It's more fun that way for sure! And that's what most true fans want..to have fun while winning...Go Tigers!

Agreed, Byrd isn't just going to throw one of his teammates under the bus........but I would also think he would paint a picture of whats going on with the position regardless of if it sucks.....WRs want the ball and have ways of motivating their qbs!

Mascona and Innes have been saying the same type of stuff on 1210...in relation to Guilbeau.

What else is Byrd going to say? Is he going to publicly rip the QB's in the media...probably not.

I agree. I believe that both are correct. Byrd is not going to downplay the quarterback position. On the other hand, Guilbeau seems like he was just doing an article so that tiger fans don't give their hopes up. He just wants us to realize that the QB position is not going to be perfect at times.

Does he think that season ticket holders are 5th graders?

I'm not expecting the LSU qbs to rallies us down 20 in the 4th quarter.........but I'm also not expecting them to perform worse than Randall or Tyler or fricking Booty for that matter! Come on guys.......since 1990!!!!!

No, but some of these ranters on here think like 5th graders or they would not predict an undefeated season.I know what you are saying, but those articles are not really directed at season ticket holders. More less, it is directed by these ranters.

For what it's worth, I'll take "frick ya'll wit an AIDS DICK" over anything Gullblow writes for witty writing.

If you watched the TigerRag interview with Byrd about a week ago he said he was shocked when Lee hit him with the long TD pass in the spring game b/c "they can never hit that pass" in practice. He said they always overthrow it. Also said they missed on a lot of other passes as well. He went on to say they have improved this fall, however, just watching the interview, you don't get the feeling he has the most confidenc in the QBs. At this point what do you expect him to say other than the QBs will be fine. Of course he's gonna say that.

So does anyone on here think that Lee or Hatch will be worse than the in 04 after Mauck left?

Will our qb play be worse than that?
