If you want to know what you got going get a average gift nothing to expensive or exciting and put it on top of a nicer one in a box . When she opens watch her face , you’ll determine where you stand . As for me I did it 32 years ago with a diamond bracelet attached to the sleeve of a somewhat cheap sweater . She didn’t flinch a second . I literally had to point out the bracelet . Then I noticed a bit of excitement in her eyes that’s still there

I do this with the adult gifts - but with my little kids I usually have to wait since they still believe in Santa.
My teenagers will tell me in oct or early nov but the younger ones write letters to Santa the day after thanksgiving, although usually I know what they want

If she's a coffee/cappucino drinker, get her a fancy Keurig machine, and put a note inside. Can't go wrong with that. Women love personal hand written notes, and most of them love coffee drinks or crafting them.
