I keep seeing his name pop up, and I like the idea of an “up and comer” as opposed to Pelini’s outdated scheme.

My question stems from the fact that Luke Fickell, his HC, was an extremely success DC himself. The fact that Fickell hired him in the first place speaks well of what you could expect from Freeman. Still, should we worry that Freeman is benefiting from being with an already proven defensive mind? I’m guessing the answer is no, but it’s worth talking about. Also, does he run a 4-3? Seems like our D-line is setting up to fit that scheme really well (plus we all know O eats that shite up).

Did we worry that Joe Brady benefitted from being with Sean Payton?

Such great, anecdotal evidence.

No, but we would worry that Pruitt, Kirby, Muschamp, etc benefited from Saban. Cincinnati also has the best players relative to their competition (in the G5 obviously, not when they play B1G teams) and a defensive minded head coach.

I don't know squat about Freeman but it's a legitimate question if you know the context of college football outside of the power 5.

He runs a multiple scheme. Base 4-3 but runs a ton of 3-3-5 and 4-2-5 looks. Do some research on the guy and watch some stuff and I promise it’ll be hard not to be sold.

just read he's making 425k at Cinci

LSU likely can pluck him away if that's true

LB Coach, played LB for the Bears. One of top defenses in his league. YOung enough to relate with the players. Like him at least for a serious interview

Want big time. I think he’d far and away be our best option for the least amount of money. Him or Leonhard from Wisky would both be excellent hires.
