Most crawfish farmers havent gotten their labor in yet; most get theirs in right after the first of the year so you should see a larger supply after Jan 1.

I gave away so much crawfish last year. Was catching great right at the height of the lockdowns

does show to have crawfish right now... $6.99/lb
Anybody that pays that much for crawfish is an idiot. A lb. of crawfish yields about 2 oz. of tail meat at best, so it takes about 8 lbs. of boiled crawfish to get close to 1 lb. of tail meat. That tail meat at that price is around $56 a lb.
I'd buy Wagu beef before I buy crawfish in enough quantity to fill me.

Oyster prices are cheaper than I have seen in several years.

94 was the best season I've ever seen. Hurricane Andrew killed all the fish.

Best price ever was way back in 1970, when as a college student, Acadiana farmers were charging 25-cents per pound live or you could go catch them yourself for 10-cents a pound.
Came to about $5 a sack but we were nearly too damn drunk to boil them.
It stayed around 50-cents a pound through the 80s.

Living so far from crawfish country, you’d be surprised what we will pay. And it’s worth it.

I've never seen it in the dead of winter in years past, but it's been popping up like crazy it seems
I was looking through my phone the other day and came across a picture of me eating crawfish in mid December 2 years ago.
