These players will always know...and can tell their kids and grandkids that they were quitters!
All you guys waited until June-December to quit the team. That makes you a bunch of losers to practice with the team and prepare—only to QUIT!
I’m ashamed you all were part of LSU and LET YOUR TEAMMATES DOWN. We had a late start for the team (so many adjustments), but in the end, WE DIDN'T F’ING NEED YOU! Good riddance, losers!
LIST OF QUITTERS/LOSERS
Terrace Marshall, WR
Arik Gilbert, TE
Jamal Pettigrew, TE
Travez Moore, linebacker and defensive end
Siaki "Apu" Ika, Defensive Tackle
TK McLendon, TE
Kary Vincent, Nickel safety
Tyler Shelvin, Defensive Tackle
Ja'Marr Chase, WR
Justin Thomas, DE
Sad for y’all!

I agree generally. Except a few of the players above.
We can discuss if it’s a valid reason to quit for millions of dollars.
But let’s call it what it is. Quitting on your team mates for cash. At least then we can have an honest discussion.

Here’s a question. How does a player like Arik Gilbert come back after leaving LSU before the UF game and watching what LSU accomplished in that game and now Ole Miss while sitting at home?
How does he come back to the team an ever convince his teammates that he deserves their respect? I just don’t see that being a good situation.

Yea let’s just roast openly a bunch of players that still have the potential to come back next season

I would gladly take Gilbert back. Do we really know what the circumstances were on his departure?

He can’t come back. No matter how you look at it, he let his teammates down. Someone else could have been the main focus for preparation instead of him. He wasted the coaches time and took chances away from other promising players.

Why would you want them back? ...so they may let their team down AGAIN??? Quitters!

I would take him back if he is willing to do what the team needs him to do to be the best version of him. He needs to be willing and able to put his hand in the ground and block or chip and be willing to go over the middle and make the tough catches and be a legitimate TE. If he is not willing to do that he is just a big receiver and LSU doesn’t need receivers.

If he had a legitimate reason, then we all should know about it. Until then, he’s nothing but a QUITTER! When the going gets tough....he’s gone!

Of course it’s a valid reason. But yes, they did quit.

There were some dummies on the scoreboard last night that were actually taking up for the quitters

Please lose the all caps thread title. Thanks

Ya'll really need to get over this. I'm almost certain you have other things in your lives to get worked up over.

How can you be sure he would be the best version and not quit again? No way I’d take a chance on him again!

He doesn't
People keep tiptoeing around it, but he apparently has some mental health issues that are becoming a bigger issue in his life. I hope he gets the help that he needs.

Unless it is serious mental health problems, it is a non-starter. Jacoby said what the rest of the locker room felt about those guys last night and I’m damn proud of him for doing it.

I wish you all would quit creating posts about this every damn day.

Eh... some of those guys left for lesser schools.I think they would have transferred regardless for playing time. It’s not like they knew in advance all the attrition that was coming.
Chase, Shelvin, Vincent, Marshall, and Gilbert are the only ones that might be worthy of criticism. And I’d still want to know more details from their specific situation before I just roasted a kid. Gilbert is the frustrating one, but again, we may not know the whole story and he also may come back.

Exactly right. Jacoby is a true Tiger. The ones who quit are just that. Quitters and no longer Tigers.
