How many suits do you own and what should be the appropriate amount? Besides being a lawyer who else requires wearing suits to work anymore?

I have three (blue, black, and tan) but work in an industry where I can wear button down/collared shirts and jeans/slacks to work everyday. I use them strictly for weddings or funerals.

A lot. Weddings, funerals, interviews, etc.

Don't wear any for work. Also have several blazers.

ETA: Forgot about the couple tuxedos

Two.

My funeral suit and my wedding suit.

Actually, just one with different shirts.

Oh...I forgot, I have a court suit, I mean shirt, too.

I find it odd that a grown man doesn't own one suit.

4. And I don’t wear them with tennis shoes, sneakers, vanns, or crocks. I do sometimes go without underwear though.

1 charcoal grey suit. Appropriate for just about any occasion and I wear it as little as possible.

Good point! I inherited one from a family member who got fat. I do, in fact, have two suits. I forgot about the other one.

You live in a state where an LSU polo is proper attire for anything

I've dressed business casual for over 20 years so I probably have a lot of dress clothes for a guy that owns 1 suit. I probably have 30 button down dress shirts and slacks.

You better make sure they still fit.

I have 5-6 and I didn't have any reason to wear one in 2020 with all the covid shite. I had a wedding last weekend and found out that half of them don't fit anymore.

Have 3 that were tailored at the beginning of 2020. Have 4 more from when I was about 20-30 pounds heavier. Figure if I hold on to them, I'll never gain the weight back. If I donate them, I'll need them in about 3 months
