The only real knock has been the turnovers, which they wouldn’t have seen in practice against this shite defense. Lol
This shite defense got 9 turnovers the last two weeks.

Honestly, i think they were enamored with TJ's arm talent, and after seeing the defense the first few games, figured LSU would have to win via shootout, and that was the best option.

Max is now as a true Freshman better than Joe Burrow was when he was a Freshman. LSU must go with Max for the next 3 years, he has the intangibles that Joe Burrow had.

Did everyone in this thread forget Max lost several critical weeks of practice due to COVID early in the season?

There’s basically no person that evaluated both qbs coming out of high school that Hs Finely ahead. He’s just very raw. I was shocked to see him get the first go. Compared to other freshman qbs, he did well though. His production was remarkably similar to JR’s first year. Another raw qb.

I hate the term "reverse racism" but you are right. It is blatant and out in the open everywhere. Someone just started a post that we should hire and African American coordinator. No statement of hire the best coordinator. I guess as long as he is African American things will be great.

Is it sooo difficult to believe that Finley had a great week of practice before South Carolina and simply looked better? Both are talented QB's.
Both got solid experience and still have 4 years of eligibility. The future looks bright.

That's what I thought was the reason. They were pretty equal through practice but then Max missed some practice while being quarantined so they went with TJ.

I do realize that. He still looks 18 though.

Practice is not a game. Coach O could not descifer who the better game time QB was. His call even though he probably asked around as he is not a position coach.

I'm sure that was part of it. People who claimed to have "inside" knowledge were also saying TJ had a better grasp of the playbook and looked better in practice. True or not I wouldn't be surprised. TJ throws a really nice pass when he's on schedule with his feet set. I stated early on my concern with him was his footwork bc he's an upper body thrower so once he gets pushed off his mark his mechanics are more apt to breakdown. That became more evident in games when the pocket wasn't clean.
No matter how hard you try you can't accurately simulate true game experience. In practice there is no true pressure.

Esp against our defense

The only throw Finley can complete is the 10 yard curl on the sideline. For having such a big arm, he throws a complete shite deep ball. He also can’t complete short routes either. Max has hit a few deep balls and has shown the ability to throw a catchable pass all over the field. He feels the pocket better and gets out of trouble to keep plays alive. He’s also thrown the ball away at times. He’s way more advanced than Finley.

So because we aren’t BLM sheep like you, our opinion doesn’t matter? frick you.
A sheep is someone who can be lead to believe a person making $7.5M a year has lost 2 games to horrible teams and is under intense pressure to right the ship and has a choice between two freshman to start their football game. That that person then considers race as the deciding factor when his coaching future and tens of millions of dollars hangs in the balance is plausible to you?
Sheep? I'm shocked you people can breathe outside of a group setting.
