I posted that gif of me kicking from 40, but great joke

Ok, Unless Vanderbilt could have gotten you on the team that has exactly 0 relevance to the situation. And given the chance to do 1 squib kick and 2 PATs there is no possible way you could have had better results than Fuller.
The fact that you are so invested in not wanting anyone to enjoy this moment tells us all we need to know.

I love how that is supposed to be an insult and how it implies that everyone who didn’t vote for Biden is a misogynist (your words not mine)

The new CFB hall of fame is kind of lame. It’s flashy and new and The helmet display and collection of trophies are great. Outside of that there are very few items of note or even real items. It’s almost all digital. Which is all information I could access from my phone.
Preach.

quote:
This is why I brought up Jackie Robinson.
Yes because you’re an idiot that wants to compare one of the best baseball players of all time to a blatant PR stunt.
quote:
Of course the fact that she was the first woman to play in a P5 game was a factor in the interviews and publicity.
You said earlier in this thread that different standards for men and women is a bad thing, yet you clearly have no issue with it being done repeatedly in this situation. Why is that exactly?
quote:
Just like Jackie Robinson got more attention for breaking the color barrier than other players who might have had similar stats.
Jackie Robinson was a great baseball player before he ever donned an MLB uniform.
The fact that you continue to attempt to reduce Jackie Robinson - great baseball player to Jackie Robinson - black person in continually failing attempts to pretend like Sarah fuller isnt only getting the things she’s getting because she’s a woman is beyond pathetic and says everything that needs to be said about you.
quote:
You are simultaneously saying she got the opportunity because of gender and that you don’t understand why it’s such a big deal.
I understand perfectly well that everything Sarah fuller has gotten as it relates to college football is due solely to the fact that she is a woman. There is absolutely no confusion on my part. I’m also saying that’s wrong. You’re the one that’s having a difficult time comprehending this. Which is strange, considering your stance of men and women having different standards = bad.
quote:
Just doesn’t make sense to me.
This is literally the least shocking thing you’ve posted. It doesn’t seem anything makes sense to you. And you’ve argued yourself into being a hypocrite multiple times in this thread.
quote:
Do you feel just as strongly about all the other coaches who give opponents starting field position around the 35 due to squib kicks? Somehow I don’t think so
How many times did Vanderbilt squib kick this year outside of that 1 attempt? I know the answer, but I’ll await for you to find it for yourself and then attempt to reconcile with the statement above.
quote:
No. I’m saying that I have no reason to doubt coaches who say that she was the best option.
This goes back to this lack of common sense and basic understanding of athletic feats we pointed out you do not have earlier in the thread. There are multiple players on Vanderbilt’s roster with kicking experience. Their regular XP kicker was available in the last game. I don’t care what words come out of the coaches mouths. Common sense and basic thinking say otherwise.
quote:
she was qualified for her role regardless of why she got it in the first place.
Her role required she squib kick when that is not part of Vanderbilt’s typical kickoff strategy. How was she qualified for role?
quote:
And the fact that you can’t admit that she was capable is based on your own bias rather than any verifiable facts.
A team that never squib kicks did so for the 1 instance she was put in the game. You can’t admit they squib kicked because she wasn’t capable of doing what a normal kicker is expected to do in the situation she was put in.
The regular kicker that was 9/9 on XPs for the year was available and played in the same game she kicked extra points. You can’t admit the only reason she was given those opportunities over the normal kicker is because she’s a woman.
And once again, both of the above statements are especially strange considering your stance of men and women having different standards being a bad thing.

started this whole conversation by saying the HoF is a museum.
No, you started it by saying she was more impactful than Rudy.
quote:
She is not being inducted into the hall of fame. They are displaying her jersey in the HoF as a part of football history - which it is.
Rational people recognize this was an orchestrated event done for he expressed purpose of creating a women’s empowerment storyline, which it was.
quote:
Just enjoy the feel good story like we do with countless other moments in football
There is nothing feel good about being beaten over the head with a story about a woman being given an opportunity strictly because she is a woman and not because she earned it. The idea that they have to be literally handed something because they aren’t good enough to earn it on their own should be insulting to women everywhere.

quote:
None of y’all care about any of them
Yet ANOTHER person brings up the fact that other women have already accomplished what fuller did, and actually earned the right to do it, which completely destroys your ‘ppl are just mad because she’s a woman’ narrative. And once again when it happens, you stomp your feet like a child and argue ‘nah uh’
quote:
except as props in your argument against Fuller.
Your entire presence in this thread revolves around failing to defend the biggest prop in this history of college football.

Not at all surprised that you’re upset about women’s empowerment
It’s funny how it’s almost always guys who get upset about women getting opportunities they “don’t deserve”. And then y’all construct an alternate reality where men always deserve the opportunities they get.
I love college football and the community it creates. It just sucks that people put so much energy into denigrating anything that doesn’t fit with their narrow idea of masculinity.

Not surprised at all that you failed to address the point.
Even less surprised you failed to address the fact that you have to completely strip down Jackie Robinson to being nothing more than a blank person to attempt to make your point. Or that you didn’t even attempt to explain how you’re suddenly ok with different standards for women.
It’s kinda like how you quickly dropped the Vanderbilt needing a short range kicker nonsense.
quote:

Not as funny as you putting “don’t deserve” in quotes as if it doesn’t apply to this situation.
quote:
And then y’all construct an alternate reality where men always deserve the opportunities they get.
Show me where I or anyone else has done this. You were the one complaining about other people projecting you earlier, correct?

Not as much as it sucks when people make a complete mockery of the sport you claim to love just for the sake of advancing political and social agendas that are completely separate from the sport itself.
