Hey, it's just a game young men play in the fall. It was a close game and the young man lost his cool. Stuff happens. I just hope he won't let this mistake define his life. He's got a chance to get a good education at a quality school. Ultimately that college degree will create oppertunities for him far beyond his football career. The shoe throwing thing? Slight bump in the road......and I mean slight.
I will always remember freshman Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) making a critical mistake during the Collegiate Basketball Playoffs. He threw the BB to an opposing team player. Dumb mistake. Look what he went on to become?
