we've had great kicking and punting under Greg McMahon, guy is completely over looked, he's won us names

He was a beast in that game. All over the field. Hurt burrow and then got ejected for a helmet hit

Joe got absolutely frickin nuked on this, he just disappears off the screen

I’m hoping something similar for us with at least Pelini and hopefully others.
I dont know if this is true or not but after the hire there was a story that the main reason Bo took this was to remind the world how good he is and get some Joe Brady-level hype and roll that into another head P5 gig.

that plan was not successful.

Too much Bama in him

by contrast, Herbstriet has 2 sons playing at Clemson, he could probably literally frickin watch them get sad as LSU ran into the end zone laughing their arse off over and over and Joe called for his ring, but if you can tell any of that by his call youre more perceptive than I am.
lot of disciplined football goin on in Fort Lauderdale, we should hit it harder

Im an LSU fan, Im under no obligation to be sensible
this is like that 5 or 6 year stretch under Miles when we could not sign a top ranked LB to save our life. Kwon might have been the best one and we only pulled him from alabama because he blew out his knee.

guys like Leigh can be day 1 starters on a top 5 team and theyre still like "hmm, I dont know."
honestly the ball could hit him in the face for the next 4 years and Id still be happy to have a player named Decoldest. its the best name since God’sgift Achiuwa and his brother Precious Achiuwa.

as if it wasnt enough to go from Big Dick Joe to Max Johnson at QB, are we even a real program or are we just here for the memes.

(the Achiuwas play basketball, icydk. God'sgift was at St Johns, and Precious just got drafted by the Heat in the 1st coming out of Memphis)

So it seems we are in agreement. Guess just wait it out till Saban is gone
ha, maybe not exactly, Im leaning more toward pushing his arse down the stairs if he wont go on his own.
i mean, frick, what can he do? for now, we're still basically in a Barkley vs Jordan kinda thing, we're fricking awesome, and its nothing but bad luck that we happen to be in the same division as the best to ever do it.

that mother fricker aint Thanos though, the right team can stomp his arse, and we know what that team does and does not look like.

after Brady left there was talk Curtis Johnson and Joe Lombardi were on the list to replace him. If Slinger steps aside and we get a real OC, someone who knows the exact offense Brady did, that would be a massive step in the right direction, IMO.

saban is 70 now, if we beat his arse at home, again, at some point it stops being worth the effort.

If Sting is Stingley, when did he opt out?
yeah I shouldnt have said opt out for him, I know he was hurt but I thought the consensus was he would play through it if the season wasn't such a train wreck. he is a little banged up and theres no point in risking his 100 million dollar future to maybe beat Ole Miss and get to 5-5.

or maybe I have that wrong, apologies if thats the case.

We all know O can recruit.. he’s just got to make some changes to develop the talent he acquires.

even now this year still feels impossible. We lost 17 or so to the NFL, we lost our DC and OC (spare me the semantics), then Chase and some DL opted out, then Myles and a few others got hurt, then Sting and Arik and Marshall opted out, and on and on and on, its something new every week.

We were left with an entirely new team and new coaches, and they all somehow needed to come together with half the practice time we would normally have.

all I was really hoping for from this season was to keep things together, and that didnt happen on the field but at least it did here. We are where we need to be to play for titles again next year, and thats a big deal, it is a massive relief.

I was never a huge O fan but last season he took my opinion of him and he stomped it right into the frickin dirt. Fingers crossed he can do it again.
the other 4 teams are 31-3, so yeah, every single thing about the past 10 months has sucked beyond belief but holy shite O can recruit.

quote:

You're not supposed to contact players until they enter the portal, but there are ways around that.

am I remembering Coles story wrong then? I would swear O basically said "we need a kicker" and then they looked up the best kicker in D2, and then they showed up at his door.

I guess maybe the rules are diff with D1 to D2.
the only positive spin here is that saban is 70 now, hes doing more and more commercials and TV work, it cant be long now until he walks.
if Im remembering this right Cole Tracy never contacted us, O went after him, the offer was out of nowhere. Is that because Assumption is DII or could O target some Offensive line guys who might want out of P5 teams?
quote:

Do you think he coached up the line well this season?
what I think is that there arent enough moving vans in town if we're firing coaches based only on 2020
quote:

Cregg certainly needs to be fired, just for the recruiting end of things.

jesus christ people, we are the CURRENT Joe Moore Award winner. I get that the OL recruiting has been our weak spot by a wide margin for a long time, but Id rather have a guy who can coach up average players than someone who is lost with 5s.
