Yes, and so is Obi Wan. I meant to say Obi Wan shows up as a force ghost. Or at least his voice

are you blaming the sequels on Hamill who was outspoken about how awful they were?

And yet, he went back for seconds with TLJ, didn't he?

Of course he knew they sucked. Darth Vader's ghost knew they sucked.

My prediction on why it is Obi Wan and not Yoda is mostly because maybe this Obi Wan reveal helps set up his new show

Lots of speculation that Mace Windu shows up but I’m not seeing that with this taking place after RotJ

My prediction for The Jedi that 'shows up' is Obi Wan and he is the one that helpd Grogu escape and survive Order 66. I recently rewatched ROTS and I realized there is a decent amount of time at the end where Obi Wan and Yoda are in coruscant planning how to survive, the future of the jedi and etc. My guess is Obi Wan and Yoda also had a plan to protect Grogu.

My prediction on why it is Obi Wan and not Yoda is mostly because maybe this Obi Wan reveal helps set up his new show

Obi Wan is dead already by the time of Mandalorian series. I guess he could appear as a force ghost (so could Yoda) but I doubt it.

They don't need to use The Mandalorian to help setup the Obi Wan series. If they're trying to setup another series, then it makes more sense that Ezra would show up and they can crossover with the rumored Ahsoka project that Rosario Dawson supposedly signed on for.

Yea I think Ezra would make the most sense unless they do decide to retcon the sequels.......then Luke might make more sense

It can be Ezra and still be a reboot of the the sequels. My dream last season of the show would end with Ahsoka, Ezra, Mando, Sabine, Bo-Katan, Boba, Cara, Mayfield, and Grogu all meeting up with Luke and he starts up a New Jedi Academy while the non Force Sensitive group forms the foundation of a New Republic Special Forces that deals with the now emergent Thrawn-led New Galactic Order leading into a trilogy.

I’ve said it here before but I just don’t see Thrawn being a “big bad” villain with the way he is written in canon. He’s about stopping the Grysk and I think he’ll team up with the “good guys” to accomplish those goals.

It doesn’t have to be just Thrawn. But we also don’t know what he’s been up to for the last decade or so. We don’t know what alliances he’s formed or who he’s met.

I'm not convinced we'll find out who it is tonight. Maybe a tease and cliffhanger with just the robe or something.

I haven't seen Cal Kestis mentioned here yet and I think he's the most likely. A lot of Fallen Order dealt with force-sensitive children and the timeline would work.
