Anyone catch the Jake Garcia drama today?

He’s the top QB from California that was committed to Southern Cal that played his senior year in Georgia after Covid shut down football out west.
He was at an announcement event at his new school, but apparently was not planning to announce his choice.
The PA announcer introduced him as a Miami commitment.
He then went on his Instagram Live and announced that was incorrect and he would be announcing his choice later via IG.
So, a while later he goes on IG and commits to .,.,
Miami.
While I hate to judge high school kids, you would think when something like that happens, you would just roll with it, rather than lie to drum up fake suspense.

Some are. I would imagine that's more likely if they are D1 recruits getting told how good they are by grown men.
He should have handled it better, definitely. But the PA announcer shouldn't have ruined one of the biggest moments of the kids life either.

This kid has been everywhere from state to state to college choice. Doubt he stays all 3 at Miami. Will leave again.
