May visit Alabama, may not. Sources on our side are still confident he sticks. Now Wiggins on the other hand...

Florida cb still leaning our way? If so, sage likely starting at nickel eases only getting 1 cb. Next class looks like 3-4 is easier in seemingly a deeper cb class, and one where we have better footprints recruiting wise.

Unfortunately it’s probably something other programs have picked up on and have been taking advantage. Having said that, let’s wait and see on Koht. He said with his own words how pumped he is to sign with LSU not too long ago.

They were able to reverse course on Sage Ryan not too long ago so I’m hoping they can do the same with Wiggins.

I get the impression that O is excellent at keeping kids from saying no but the overall recruiting effort lacks something, not sure what it is, when it comes to closing time.

Insiders get confident because news trickles out from the staff that a prospect is telling LSU he is coming. Then they look like fools when the prospect signs elsewhere.

For example, "insiders" from both LSU and Oklahoma are saying Leigh is telling both staffs he is coming. History would indicate that he's signing with OU and LSU is going to be blindsided next Wednesday. I think it is the nature of recruiting OOS prospects. You don't have as many connections to the family, the area, the school, etc. All you can go on is what the kids are telling you.

As of now yes, McGhee is LSUs to lose. Keeping Ryan definitely eases the pain of potentially losing someone of Wiggins skill set. He could be a starter in 2022.

Have you heard anything from him or his camp or you just randomly selecting players to talk about just for the sake of creating a post?

I don’t understand the Koht to Bama idea. Bama has 3 spots left, and it looks like they are getting Terrion Arnold, which leaves 2. They are up there for Wheaton. They run a 3-4, and Koht is a skinny WDE. On top of all of this, I thought Bama wasn’t even in Koht’s top 3? Maybe I’m misremembering that. He’s a stud, and I’m happy to have him, but Bama has other fish to fry and he doesn’t fit their system.

I think they can take 26 this year, so that would be 4 spots left.

I haven’t checked the rule in ages, but I thought the NCAA put a hard cap of 25, regardless of previous classes. Could definitely be wrong about that.

This morning, or more recently than the Bama smoke started popping up. Billy at 247 got in touch with Koht today.

The rule has been 25 for a long time. The NCAA changed some aspects regarding how, or when, guys get counted, but didn't change the ability of teams to count guys who sign and enroll early to the previous class, if the previous class didn't have a full class.
